This Privacy Policy explains how Synaptide LLC (“Synaptide Home”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit synaptidehome.store or place an order. We keep the amount of data we collect deliberately small, and we do not sell it.

Information we collect

  • Order information you give us: name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number if you provide one, and the contents of your order.
  • Payment information: processed by our payment provider. We receive only a confirmation of payment and the card brand and last four digits — never your full card number or security code.
  • Technical information collected automatically: IP address, browser type, device information and the pages you view, used to run the site securely and understand aggregate usage.
  • Communications: the content of emails you send us and our replies.

How we use it

  • To process, fulfil, ship and support your orders and returns.
  • To send order-related email (confirmations, shipping notifications, and replies to your questions).
  • To detect and prevent fraud and to secure the website.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
  • To send occasional product news, only if you opt in — and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers who make the shop work, and only what they need: our payment processor (to take payment), our shipping carriers (to deliver your order), our email and hosting providers, and our accountants. These providers are bound to protect your data and use it only to provide their service to us. We also disclose information where we are legally required to. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Cookies

We use only the cookies the shop needs to work — to remember the contents of your cart and to keep your checkout session secure — plus basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate. We do not run third-party advertising trackers. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, though the cart may not function without the essential ones.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as needed to support the order and to meet legal and tax requirements (generally several years for financial records), and then delete or anonymise them. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it where we’re not required to keep it. Email support@synaptidehome.store and we’ll respond within a reasonable time. If you’re in a jurisdiction with specific privacy rights (such as California), those rights apply and we’ll honour them.

Security

We protect your information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and by keeping card data with a PCI-DSS-compliant processor rather than on our own systems. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect what you give us.

Legal bases for processing

Where the law requires us to identify a basis for processing your information, we rely on: performance of our contract with you (to fulfil your order); our legitimate interests in running and securing the shop and preventing fraud, balanced against your rights; your consent (for optional marketing, which you can withdraw at any time); and compliance with legal obligations (such as keeping tax records).

California residents

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what personal information we collect about you and how we use and disclose it, the right to request deletion of that information, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. To exercise any of these rights, email support@synaptidehome.store; we will verify your request against our records and respond within the timeframe the law allows.

International customers and data transfers

Synaptide Home operates from the United States and stores and processes information here. We ship only within the United States, but if you contact us from outside it, be aware that your information will be processed in the US, which may have different data-protection rules than your home country.

Third-party links and “Do Not Track”

Our site may link to third-party sites (for example a carrier’s tracking page); those sites have their own privacy policies and we’re not responsible for them. Because there is no industry-agreed standard for browser “Do Not Track” signals, our site does not currently respond to them, but as noted we run no third-party advertising trackers regardless.

If something goes wrong

In the unlikely event of a data breach that affects your personal information and poses a risk to you, we will notify affected customers and the appropriate authorities as required by applicable law, and tell you what happened and what we’re doing about it.

Children

Synaptide Home is intended for adults and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date below always reflects the current version, and material changes will be reflected here before they take effect. Questions about your privacy, or a request to see, correct or delete your data, can be sent to us at any time at support@synaptidehome.store.
